Kermit L. Stofer

Mr. Stofer has over 25 years experience in executive management and venture capital within the computer software and information technology industry.

Currently, Mr. Stofer is President of Software Consolidations, Inc., Chairman of Object/FX Corporation, board member of Steleus Group, Inc, representing St. Paul Venture Capital, and board member of Salesnet., Inc

Previously, Mr. Stofer was founder, President and CEO of Envoy Systems Corporation, a leading supplier of applications software and distributed information systems to the Sales Force Automation market.  While at Envoy, Mr. Stofer pioneered the vision of Sales Force Automation and successfully sold industry-specific solutions to leading Fortune 500 corporations.  He also structured several strategic alliances including a Cooperative Software Partnership (CSP) with IBM.

Prior to founding Envoy, Mr. Stofer was Executive Vice President and Director of Computer Devices, Inc., the second largest supplier in the world of portable computer terminals.  At CDI, he was responsible for building the worldwide sales, service and marketing organization into a $20 million per year profitable operation.  This international organization sold more than 30,000 portable terminals into the information retrieval and timesharing applications markets.

Mr. Stofer served for several years as General Partner of Technology Search Associates, a private venture capital partnership specializing in high technology investments in the computer industry.  In this role, he helped finance several growth companies and served as an active member of their Board of Directors.

Mr. Stofer graduated from Harvard Business School with a Masters Degree in Business Administration.  He also received a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Bachelor of Science Degree, With Distinction, from Cornell University.  Currently, Mr. Stofer teaches Entrepreneurial Management and Entrepreneurial Sales Strategy at the BU School of Management.

Mr. Stofer is past chairman of the Big Brother Association of Massachusetts Bay, and a Big Brother to two little brothers.  He was also past president of The Weston Golf Club.  He is an avid sports enthusiast in golf, skiing, fly fishing, and tennis.
